Might as well just put a wick on the end

MM-banner11I used to love that “Magic Shell” ice cream topping.
And… I suppose I still do.
But I’ve been repulsed by it, ever since I learned that it has WAX in it.
That’s the “secret ingredient” that makes it harden when you pour it on cold stuff like ice cream.
Wax.
All this time I’ve been eating wax, for gosh sakes.
Ew.
If you want to read some sites that confirm and explain this, click here and here.
The thing is, even after learning this unsavory tidbit of knowledge, I still think a chocolate-dipped cone sounds kinda good. Or a big dish of orange sherbet covered in Magic Shell. It actually sounds good, even though I know I’m basically biting into a chocolate-scented candle.
Ugh.
I wonder how many candles’ worth of wax I’ve eaten in my lifetime.

This is the problem. Once we start looking into the ingredients of plastic food, we really do find plastic things.

You’re worried about chocolate covered ice cream? We’re living in a world of pre-washed, pre-cooked and pre-packaged everything. The newest generation gets impatient with microwave cooking. You should hear them scream in frustration at my sister’s house! it’s going to take a minute and a half? Are you kidding me? Aaaaarg!!!

I love the stuff, wax and all! ;-) I think we should go out for a dipped ice cream cone together! LOL!

    Happy Manic Monday!

That would be precisely the reason why I do not want to know what is in my food. I eat what tastes good, and if it is wax so be it!

I figure that if I used to chomp on those red wax lips, a bit of chocolate flavored wax over ice cream isn’t so bad.

Yes, please don’t find out how much weird stuff is in most food. There is probably wax in your ice cream already anyway.

Eat the wax covered ice cream.
Drink a bottle of vanilla extract.
Then put a wick in your poo and let ‘em harden.
Sell them on E-Bay as “mystery candles, vanilla scented” You KNOW some of those whack job E-Bay buyers will snatch ‘em up – those snipers will buy *anything*!
