Today’s theme is “Messy.”
May I present to you my driveway, covered in snow, freshly plowed but still looking messy.

I love winter.
No, really, I do.
I love being chilly.
I hate summer.
I despise sweating.
I’d be miserable if I had to live in a tropical climate.
So this kind of thing really doesn’t bother me.
It can be inconvenient, as far as driving conditions go, but other than that, I love it.
Lay it on me, baby.

I soooooo do NOT envy your weather. Although it might surprise you to know that our night time temps were in the low 30s, and today’s high is around 49.
Posted 28 Dec 2007 at 6:59 pm ¶Snow can be messy but oh so pretty.
Posted 28 Dec 2007 at 8:37 pm ¶That’s one kind of mess I’ll like to have!! It’s summer 365 days a year where I’m living
Posted 28 Dec 2007 at 10:33 pm ¶snow in the melting stage really is messy! It’s good that you like it. I like milder climates myself and I really like to have 4 seasons. Thanks for your comment on my blog. The round globe looking thing hanging in my daughters room is a flowered lantern…
Posted 28 Dec 2007 at 10:34 pm ¶Have a wonderful New Year…
DesertSongbird: Wow, it surprises me that it could get that cool out there. I think of it as being a desert, up in the 80′s and 90′s (and worse) all the time. Glad to hear you do occasionally get some respite!
Carver: I agree!
Napaboaniya: Yikes! i can barely stand having summer for three months!
Ellen: On, we definitely have four seasons here in Michigan. I love the cooler ones best.
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 2:48 am ¶My country will never snow… We having summber all the days…

Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 4:57 am ¶Sean: Feel free to take a vacation to Michigan, so you can see what snow is like!
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 5:27 am ¶I never saw real snow… never thought snow can be messy.. LOL
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 6:51 am ¶Snow, though I never had snow in my country. Messy indeed if we have to shovel everyday!
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 8:03 am ¶not too much of that in Florida, smile
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 9:37 am ¶The place I live in never snow. It’s all hot. So I’m not sure if I’ll enjoy one. :/
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 9:57 am ¶Oh! I will welcome this mess with both hands open widely as I really wish there is white Christmas in Malaysia!
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 12:29 pm ¶Janna, this kind of mess makes me shiver – but not from the cold…because I have to shovel it!
Happy New Year!
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 12:33 pm ¶Yesterday’s snow was topped off with freezing rain, and then rain, and everything was slushy here in SW Michigan… then overnight it went down to 25 degrees = now everything is crunchy.
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 5:33 pm ¶Frozen chunks of slush can be ouchy to walk on, and even worse to fall on!
Is it spring yet?????????????????????????????????????????

Ours gets pretty messy as well. Right now it is a mess because of the rain–though in a few days it will be covered with snow and ice instead.
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 5:38 pm ¶I agree, it is messy, but isn’t it worth it? I live in Texas and you definitely would NOT like it here.
Posted 29 Dec 2007 at 7:08 pm ¶I also prefer cold to hot. I don’t know how I’d do in that kind of snow. I guess I’d adjust.
Posted 30 Dec 2007 at 12:09 am ¶Trinity: Oh, it can definitely be messy!
DanielCTW: You probably wouldn’t have to shovel EVERY day, but maybe one or two times a week.
SargeCharlie: See, now don’t you feel left out?
Huey: I can’t imagine living in a place with no snow. I enjoy it too much here!
EverydayHealy: Has it EVER snowed in Malaysia? I wonder…
MaryTheTeach: Get someone else to do it for you!
Morgen: That’s the only thing I don’t like about winter; slipping and falling on the ice, or driving in the ice. I’ve fallen before and have gotten hurt. Not very fond of that. But I still love winter!
Heather: Drink plenty of hot chocolate!
Lorian: Oh, of COURSE it’s worth it. I LOVE winter.
Travis: I have faith in you. You could learn to love it.
Posted 30 Dec 2007 at 2:24 am ¶We don’t have snow here in the Philippines and I would like to experience and enjoy snow. Slush? maybe not. Be careful out there.
Wishing you the best for 2008!

Posted 31 Dec 2007 at 3:31 am ¶In Africa we don’t experience snow. We only experience harmattan; a season where the weather will be dried as well as your skin. This happen mostly in Ghana. Best wishes for the year 2008.
