Awhile back, I blogged about the possibility of Fab and I doing some karaoke together on his radio show.
I’m happy to announce that he and I have agreed on a song.
It’s going to be “We Didn’t Start The Fire” by Billy Joel.
The one where he sings really fast and jams an entire history lesson into just a few minutes.
It’ll be a challenge to get all those words in without it turning into a big tongue twister.
Here are the first few lines:
Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnny Ray
South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe Dimaggio
Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, Television
North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe
It goes fast!
The karaoke show will be on January 20th (nine days after my birthday!) so I’ll have plenty of time to practice.
Wish me luck!

You should re-write the lyrics to see how many blog-related things you can fit in. That would totally be up your alley.
“Metalmom, Alexa Score , Get Your Freakin’ Blogger On,
Pointless Drivel, Page Rank, Not To Mention Google Tanks,
Pay Per Post, Blogroll, Where did Technorati Go?
Purrchance To Dream, Word Press, Order up your Jannagraphics”
Of course your version would have meter and rhythm and be much cooler. Just an idea…

cheers!
Morgen: Yes, I liked it!
