I’ve been very fortunate, as far as cars go.
My parents like to switch cars every few years, and if mine is starting to show signs of becoming old and unreliable, they’ll give me their ‘hand-me-downs’.
So far, I haven’t had to buy a car of my own.
I am very grateful about this.
I realize, however, that things probably won’t be this way forever. Sooner or later, I will have to buy a car of my own. When that day arrives I will probably have to get a loan, because I am extremely poor and don’t have anything saved up. It would be a very complicated situation.
I’d need to research auto loans that are specially made for people in my situation, with less-than-exemplary credit. Remember my sordid tales about the credit cards I used to have? They’re all paid off now, and I’m not in debt any more, but still I’m pretty sure that debacle ruined my credit.
I wish we lived in a world without money. Things would be so much simpler.
