What time IS it, anyway?

You may recall from one of my earlier posts that I don’t have a wall clock hanging anywhere in my house.
It’s still true, but I’m on the verge of changing that.
I now own a clock which, if I ever develop the motivation and willpower, will eventually be placed on the wall in my living room.
The only thing is, it’s a really cheap clock.
It’s kind of cute until you touch it and realize the whole thing is made of plastic. From a distance, if you squint, especially if you’ve had a few vodka tonics, it looks like it’s made from a nice wood grain. Possibly walnut.
My plastic clock, which is currently on the floor, waiting for a battery to jumpstart its little heart.
It’s sad, I know.
