Some people get excited about politics. I get excited about barbecue sauce.
I tried a really good one today. In fact, I love it so much that I’m inspired to write about it.
Believe it or not, it’s Meijer brand. Imagine that! A store brand, and it’s this good.
It’s their HABANERO barbecue sauce.
If you’re a regular reader of the Jannaverse, you know I love hot spicy things. The hotter the better.
Usually when barbecue sauce is labelled as hot and spicy, it’s actually quite boring. I hate that. Don’t get my hopes up, y’know?
Well, Meijer habanero sauce isn’t terribly hot, but it’s got a pleasant medium burn to it. I was able to just sit back afterwards and enjoy the moderate amounts of smoke and flame.
It’s nowhere NEAR as hot as other things I’ve tried lately, but still I have to say it was quite enjoyable. I’ll definitely buy it again.
It’s perfect for barbecued chicken. I’ve also had it on bacon cheeseburgers. Yum!

I still think it’s bizarre that you like spicy stuff but you hate hot weather. To me that just seems…weird and unbalanced.
