Who needs horror movies when the following scenario may someday happen in real life:
Picture Janna, working at her computer, creating graphics, text files, spreadsheets, and a variety of other things.
Ominous music plays in the background, moments before her computer crashes. She tries to retrieve her files, but alas. They have disappeared.
An earth-shattering scream erupts from the pit of her gut, clearly audible to computer users 400 miles away.
If only she had employed some reliable system of backup. It could have saved her SO much grief…
Seriously, I worry about this happening.
My computer is ancient, and some days it slows down to a crawl that makes turtles look like NASCAR racers.
Now and then it likes to crash or freeze up on me. It happens a lot less often now that I’ve switched to Firefox, but it still happens. One of these days I fear I may not be able to re-start it.
This is why it really would be wise for me to look into that backup storage thing.
If I don’t, well, listen for me if you live less than 400 miles away.
