Skeet: I know how empty things can feel when good friends are absent. It’s strange that it would bother me, because usually I thrive on solitude. But not today. Today I am wondering where all my friends have gone…

Siiiiigh! I hate days like that. My closest friend is on the mainland, on death watch with her mom, who has been a terrible, terrible, evil woman all of her life. Totally emotion-charged, so, of course, all I can do is say "There, there! Not your fault. It's okay." No real conversation for days, because I don't count the ones I have with the furkids.
